The Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is excited to announce the panelists of its inaugural Women's Excellence and Leadership Awards. Each panelist exemplifies this year's event theme, "Yes! You Can Have It All." The panel discussion will be the kickoff session for the EDC's 1st Annual Women's Excellence and Leadership Luncheon, which will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the MGM National Harbor Hotel.

Yesterday, EDC President and CEO Jim Coleman joined an auspicious panel of speakers to provide advice and encouragement to the crowd of women business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals attending the "Women of Prince George's Conference" at the Greenbelt Marriott. This day-long conference, under the theme "We Rise: Together, Relevant and Victorious", featured several successful local women business owners and inspirational speakers who encouraged the attendees to be the heroes of their own success stories.

Yesterday marked the beginning of a dream realized for 83 year old Mani Patel, the CEO of TripleStone Real Estate as he broke ground on a $50 million, 17-acre development in Brandywine, Maryland. County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, EDC President and CEO Jim Coleman and District 9 County Councilmember Mel Franklin joined the TripleStone Team, investors and well-wishers at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Cadillac Crossing, a mixed use development that will include a retail center, grocery store, a 4-star hotel and medical center when it is fully operational.

The Prince George’s County Local Workforce Development Board (WDB) is soliciting single entity and consortium-based proposals for a high performing and qualified contractor with the expertise to provide One-Stop Operator (OSO) services in Prince George’s County under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Through this RFP, the WDB has allocated a maximum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) for the OSO sub-recipient agreement.
