Prince George’s County Dominates Washington Business Journal’s Apartment Communities “The List”

Largo, MD — Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (PGCEDC) is proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of eight apartment communities located in Prince George’s County that have been recognized in the Washington Business Journal’s Apartment Communities: The List, published April 11–17, 2025. The list, compiled by CoStar Group Inc. and Apartments.com, ranks the top 25 apartment communities in the Greater Washington region by number of units.

Prince George’s County is home to eight of the region’s largest apartment communities, more than any other jurisdiction featured on the list. Impressively, three of the top six ranked properties are located in the County:

  • #1: Franklin Park at Greenbelt Station, Greenbelt – 2,887 units

  • #5: Oakcrest Towers, Forestville – 1,544 units

  • #6: Southview, Oxon Hill – 1,504 units

These communities reflect the County’s commitment to quality, affordability, and scale in residential development. They also highlight the ongoing efforts to provide accessible housing options to support the County’s growing population and dynamic workforce.

"We are thrilled to see Prince George’s County leading the region in housing development with not only the highest-ranking apartment community, but a strong showing throughout the entire list," said Ebony Stocks, interim President and CEO of the PGCEDC. "This recognition is a testament to our thriving real estate market and our commitment to making Prince George’s County a premier place to live, work, and invest."

Additional Prince George’s County apartment communities recognized in the top 25 include:

  • #10: The Villages at Morgan Metro, Landover – 1,242 units

  • #12: Liberty Park at Andrews, Camp Springs – 1,158 units

  • #22: Seven Springs Apartments, College Park – 966 units

  • #23: Arden Pointe Apartments, Suitland – 962 units
