EDC's 'Thirsty For Business Thursday' Connects Local Businesses With New Clients And New Opportunities

Capitol Heights, MD, October 21, 2016 - Last night, the Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and their 'posse' descended upon Dave & Buster's in Capitol Heights for the October edition of 'Thirsty (For Business) Thursday' to combine fun and games with networking. EDC Chief Operating Officer, Paul Rowe welcomed the local businesses to not only network and start the process of making deals but to also take advantage of the arcade as a relationship building tool. Over 100 business owners were excited to speak with each other about business opportunities in the entertaining environment.

"Today is a special day for the EDC. We get to network in a fun atmosphere and make some real connections with each other," said Rowe. "It is truly important that we have fun engaging our potential clients, partners and new friends. Our business owners did just that when they brought their one-pagers and business cards to share. We are proud to be the matchmakers of Prince George's County!"

Dave & Buster's, along with Corvias Solutions, Tandem Financial & Consulting Group and Paparazzi for Hire graciously sponsored last night's event. Dave & Buster's also provided a buffet with some of their hottest menus items for the event's guests to enjoy.

Local business owners and agencies officials from all over the County continue to come out network with federal, State and local government officials, non-profits and other local businesses in a relaxed, collaborative and social environment. Each month, T4BT draws more newcomers into the 'posse'.

"This is my first time coming to 'Thirsty (for Business) Thursday and I'm so glad that my friend asked me to come," said Jacqueline Chase Hudson, owner and designer of Pearlina Designs in Clinton, MD. "I have been in business for four years and am ready to take my next big step and work on my business full-time. The best thing I took away from T4BT is the flyer about Webinar Wednesdays. I plan to attend next week and I'm definitely going back to YouTube to view the ones I have missed. This information will really help me go to the next level."

The next opportunity to network with the EDC and their 'posse' will be on Friday, November 4th when it will host 'Clean Tech Demo Day' for building owners and investors looking for cutting edge ways to reduce their energy costs. This event will take place from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. at the new EDC office in National Harbor, 165 Waterfront Street, Suite 300, National Harbor, MD 20745.
