PGCEDC sponsored 'Cultura: An Immersive Experience,' the County's inaugural conclusion to Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday evening. Facilitated by the Office of Latino Affairs Liaison, Samantha Howard, the evening celebrated all nationalities and shades of the Hispanic and Latino communities that live and work in Prince George's County.

PGCEDC was proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, 2024. From events like the Latino Business Networking Breakfast that was held on September 19th to shows like Creando Exitos hosted by PGCEDC Latin Business Manager Rocio Treminio-Lopez, PGCEDC fosters inclusive economic opportunities, and celebrates the heritage that enriches us all.

PGCEDC Business Development team staff attended the groundbreaking for Metro Logistics, a new warehouse facility by Penzance Properties. PGCEDC Executive Director of Business Development Larry Hentz and PGCEDC Business Development Manager for Manufacturing & Warehousing, Jose Burnes were on hand for the groundbreaking event in Upper Marlboro.

Scheduled for a May 2025 opening, Metro Logistics will bring hundreds of jobs to the County and PGCEDC provided assistance with the permitting requirements. The facility will boast over 140,000 square feet of space, will have LEED certification and have 149 total spaces. Penzance Properties has invested over $3.5 billion in real estate through partnerships with blue-chip institutional investors, separate accounts, joint ventures, and their discretionary fund series Penzance DC Real Estate Fund LP (“Fund l”) and its subsidiaries.
