SCORE®, "Counselors to America's Small Business," is a nationwide nonprofit volunteer association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of small businesses.

These “Counselors to America’s Small Business” are working and retired executives and business owners who donate their time and expertise as business counselors. SCORE® was formed in 1964 and there are now about 10,500 volunteers in 389 Chapters throughout the country. The Washington, DC, chapter has over 50 members experienced in owning and operating both small and large businesses in almost every field. 

SCORE offers: 

  • Free confidential business mentoring and advice
  • Start-up guidance for new businesses and business plan templates
  • Access to free business tools, templates, and tips
  • Training, workshops, and webinars
